It’s time to sign up and make Newton Open Studios 2005 another successful art event! Last year, over 80 artists opened their doors to show their work and offer it for sale to one of the most appreciative art communities in the Boston area. Every artist’s participation is important and welcomed.

Newton Open Studios 2005 is May 21 and 22, 2005 from noon to 6. This is our third year as an all-artist run event. Once again the Committee is planning extensive advance publicity, a widely distributed brochure, and our famous Newton Open Studios website. As we did last year, we are coordinating a group show location at (and thanks to) the New Art Center for artists who need a space to show. We are also pursuing other locations (to be announced). We also aim to provide eye-catching, city-wide signage.

We hope you will join us in making Newton Open Studios 2005 a wonderful and grand event through your participation and support.

NOS expenses are covered primarily by artists' fees. Please give your commitment and support with a check by January 15 (or with a late fee after). (Fees are discussed here). Your timely commitment and cooperation will ensure ample advance publicity, the opportunity to display your listing and images on the Newton Open Studios website for one full year, the production of the all-important brochure and map, and a substantial bulk mailing (with a list kindly provided by the New Art Center).

NEW! WEB-ONLY PARTICIPATION OPTION! If you participated in the past, but are not this year, and wish to have your name and images remain on the 'Current artists listing' on the website for another year, you must send a check for $50 to our registrar by Feb. 19, 2005, or your images will be removed to the "Archived" portion of the website.
