My photographs are about the fleeting poetry that can be glimpsed in everyday life. I have been inspired by the many cultures that I have had the opportunity to visit in my adventures around the world and around the corner. Most recently my inspiration lies closer to home in the form of children, both mine and others that I have had the privilege to spend time with. I specialize in documentary work and portraits

I grew up in Chicago in a Ukrainian community rich in tradition and ritual that has provided me a reverence for the sacred in everyday life.

Photography has been a lifelong adventure, beginning at first as an assistant, darkroom slave and photo stylist before committing myself exclusively to my own work. My work has been exhibited in galleries in Minneapolis, Chicago and Boston as well as several magazines.
