Painter/Author/Illustrator: Christie Allan-Piper is a visual artist, educated at Tufts University (BA, English), the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Art, and Stanford University (MA, Painting). She illustrated Fire Night (Health Press,1999) by Monica Driscoll Beatty. Her illustrated writing is published regularly in skating journals. Her paintings and dance films have been exhibited at the Hirshhorn Museum, the American Film Institute, and other museums in the United States and abroad, as well as in private collections.

As Art Director of the feature film, Starving Artists, she won Best Art Design in Comedy at the New York International Independent Film Festival. A United States Figure Skating Association Gold Medalist, she teaches at the Skating Club of Boston, children of all ages, from toddlers to octogenarians.
