There is something distinctly appealing about a book. Pages turn, a narrative unfolds. Artist books reveal a unique perspective, a layering of concept, images and words.

My artist books reflect minute yet vital aspects of life, often caught in a moment of time. Words appear as text and texture, playing alongside images and vintage collaged ephemera. Some pieces are one-of-a-kind; many are among small editions; most are diminutive in size. Previous work includes printmaking, painting and illustration, all of which emerge in my artist books.

Diane Jaquith is an art teacher in the Newton Public Schools and divides her time between Newton and Gloucester, Massachusetts.
