My collage work combines carving, papers, paint, and monoprint on wood panels. I am interested in maps and numbers- how the world intersects, what borders really mean, what tally marks can represent, how to tell a story in multiple layers.

My paintings are more purely abstract. I paint in oil, wax, and acrylic. I think sometimes that they are the foil to the more deliberate process I use in my mixed media work.

As a child, my goal was to become a painter or an archaeologist. Instead, I went to business school. In the last ten years I have transitioned back to art. I have studied at the SMFA, the De Cordova Museum School of Art, the New Art Center, the Jerusalem Studio School, and the SVA in New York. I have shown my work at the Zeitgeist Gallery in Cambridge and at the New Art Center in Newton.
