VISITOR INFORMATION

Art enthusiasts are welcome to Newton Open Studios 2004! Over 80 artists are opening their doors to show their work on Saturday and Sunday, May 15 and 16, from noon to 6:00 PM. Meet the artists, both renowned and “to be discovered”. The artwork includes (but is not limited to) paintings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, glass and fabric art. Much is for sale and at all price ranges.

This is a free event. You can visit where you please at your own pace. Come with family, friends, or just by yourself! Convenient ample street parking is available at all locations. Some sites are wheelchair accessible - Please call ahead.

To help plan your tour, preview notebooks, brimming with information and examples of participating artists' work, can be perused, starting April 25 and throughout the open studios weekend, at:

• The New Art Center, 61 Washington Park, Newtonville, in the gallery until the open studios weekend and in the dance studio throughout the open studios weekend,

• The Newton Free Library, 330 Homer Street, Newton Center, in the gallery during library hours, and

• The Newton History Museum at the Jackson Homestead, 527 Washington St, Newton Corner.
