KANTAR FINE ARTS is a full-service art gallery that specializes in modern and contemporary art, for the home environment or the business, and in a broad range of media, including oil paintings, works on paper, sculpture and ceramics. Gallery artists are generally from New England, although the group includes artists from Israel, Italy and Crete. The gallery is directed by Constance G. Kantar, a collector and dealer for many years, with an M.A.in Fine Arts from Harvard University.

Gallery hours are Flexible and by appointment only. It is located at 382 Kenrick Street, between Waverley Avenue, (which runs from Ward Street to Tremont Street in Newton), and Lake Street (Kenrick is the 4th left off of Lake Street, down from Commonwealth Avenue at Boston College). Kenrick Street is about 1 mile from Exit 17 of the Mass. Pike.

Works shown above and below are Sunset over Tiber, oil, 1947, and The Black City, oil, 1955, by Albert Alcalay, whose exhibit, Small Gems, will be at the gallery during May 2004.
