VISITOR INFORMATION

 

Art enthusiasts are welcome to have attended Newton Open Studios 2003! At 52 sites, Newton galleries and over 80 artists in their homes or studios opened their doors to show their work on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, from noon to 5:00 PM. Meet the artists, both renowned and “to be discovered”. The artwork includes (but is not limited to) paintings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, glass and fabric art. Much is for sale and at all price ranges.

This is a free event. You can visit where you please at your own pace. Come with family, friends, or just by yourself! Convenient ample street parking is available at all locations. Some sites are wheelchair accessible - Please call ahead.

  • The New Art Center, 61 Washington Park, Newtonville

  • Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton Center

  • The Newton Free Library, 330 Homer Street, Newton Center, and numerous locations throughout the city.

  • The First Unitarian Church, 1326 Washington Street, West Newton, starting April 25 in the church office during office hours and in the church’s exhibit area throughout the open studios weekend.
