Sharon Ede Glennon - 2003
My 2nd grade teacher held up my drawing as an example to the class and displayed it on the wall; from that moment on I knew I wanted to be an artist

I studied painting and printmaking at SUNY Brockport and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Over the past 25 years I have exhibited extensively in New England and New York. Recently, I have been focusing on printmaking, in particular, monotypes. Each print is a page in a journal. Thoughts and feelings, marks and colors come together to create work that ranges from moderately representational to abstract. Multiple prints are "woven" using string, wood, paper, fabric and other materials. My work was described by Bay Windows critic Tom Grabosky as "Complex and delicate... filled with exotic images and beautifully painted passages of abstract/surreal dreamscape that offer the viewer a glimpse into the artist's highly personal world of psychological self disclosure and spiritual revelation... definitely something special here."
I also work as a color consultant and designer. My proposals have been chosen to be included in the designing of 4 showhouse rooms. Last year I designed the Master Bath at the Boston Junior League Showhouse in Westwood. My rooms feature faux finishes, painted and decoupage furniture.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork and furniture will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
